Some of you might have noticed I haven't been here much in the last week or so. As I wrote in an email to a friend this morning, my life has just not been my own lately.
I have been working pretty much 7 days a week. I'm not really complaining (well, maybe a little) because in real estate you just have to be available when the clients are. I have been putting some deals together but it's been pretty hectic.
And last Monday night I started an 8-week class of continuing education which will give me the rest of the hours I need for next year's licensing. But I ask you What was I thinking when I signed up for this class? It's eight Monday nights from 6-9 p.m. and it's during one of the busiest times of the year for me. This is the last night class I will take if I have a choice. It's Title Searching which is actually pretty interesting but it's also a bit dry because it's mostly legal stuff. I'm just getting too old for a night class. Makes for a very long day.
And I am gearing up for this year's Adopt-A-Family program. I haven't blogged about that much yet although I mentioned a little about it here and here. I want to tell you more about who we are and what we do and I promise I will soon. It's a wonderful program that I am very proud to be part of.
I'll get back here real soon with all the details and let you know how we are progressing this year. In the meantime, hope everyone is enjoying the beauty of fall. It's going to be a gorgeous leaf-peeping season here in the Northeast!

Well - I guess busy is better than not busy... Looking forward to hearing more about your program. Oh! and don't forget to take care of yourself!
Poor thing, need a hug ((HUG))
First off, remember to take care of yourself, and in real estate yes it's about grabbing the business while it's there.
Please share those changing leaves in pictures for those sad few(like me) that live in Fl where we don't get anything like that.
The leaves are changing awfully quick, aren't they? It's like someone flipped a switch.
hang in there. :)
In this economy I think we all need to remind ourselves how lucky we are to have jobs. It's a scary time out there for a lot of people. It's hard when lift gets super busy and you barely have time to breathe, though. And I remember night classes, too. YUCK!!! Take a deep breath and know that things will likely calm down a bit as we approach the holidays...right?
For a while I actually missed having classes. I have now thankfully gotten over it.
Those classes at night do make for a very long day. Remember to bring a snack.
Having energy for a night class is hard. Do you caffeine or not? But each Monday done, is one less to attend.
Didn't think I told you how much my son enjoyed the photos of the fawns. Says he misses seeing his.
A 3 hour class in the evening? Are you out of your mind?????
You're right the timing is pretty bad for you. YIKES! Well, think how happy you'll be when it's all over. As for the leaves, I was driving on 195 today and I really noticed a big change. It's going to be a gorgeous fall this year.
i hear you about being busy lately. i've been subbing 3-4 times a week and teaching an evening class at the university and it has been killing me. missing my hubby and time to myself. good that you are getting clients though!
the adopt-a-family program seems similar to a program they run in our area that is an adopt-a-child...they make a list of three or four things they want for christmas and you buy them for that child. my hubby and i did it last year and will do it again this year i am sure.
You go girl.
I can't wait to hear about the program! Before I got to the Adopt-A-Family paragraph I was thinking that you deserve a new pair of shoes (or something like that) for all your hard work...and that became a pretty inane thought after the rest of your post. But still...new shoes anyone?
:0
Not just ANY night class, a MONDAY night class, for the full "What-was-I-THINKING?" slash falling-asleep-during-lectures effect.
Oh!! Good luck with all that...
You are busy! Sounds like there are some great things happening in your life. I can't wait to hear more about them.
Night classes are exhausting no matter what the subject matter. Although early morning ones are no better so i shouldn't complain.
Can't wait to hear about the program. :)
The colors are already pretty nice here too. I think the trees will be truly spectacular this year. Sorry you are so busy - I never enjoy feeling like I have no 'down time'.
Happy SITS Saturday!
For your sake, I'm glad you're busy! Busy means bills get paid and food is on the table :) Except for the night-class thing, I wouldn't be complaining too much either!
Happy SITS Saturday!
Sandy,
I went back to school to pick up my kitchen & bath certification so understand what you are facing. I enjoyed it, but it was hard work. I'm off to an 8 hour tax class this morning, the fun continues.
