Dear So and So---Friday Edition

Dear Truck Parked Beside Me,

I don't know who you are or when you decided to drive your door across the TOP of my fender but thanks for the 4" dent. Don't you people have eyes or ears? I've never accidentally tapped another car without knowing I did it and I've never left a mark on another's vehicle even close to what you left on mine WITHOUT OWNING UP TO IT!

Feeling like there's a giant HIT ME sign on my car,
Sandy

Dear Toyota,

Finding out that the power window switch for my passenger side window doesn't work anymore on my 2006 Avalon has me pretty pissed off. That's 3 issues with my car in two weeks. It only has 50K miles and this is a TOYOTA! Aren't they the ones they show in the magazines with something like an average of 225,000 miles? You're getting on my last nerve. I bought this car new and paid a bucket of money for it not expecting to do anything but change the oil for a long time.

Near to being a former Toyota owner,
Sandy

Dear New Next-Door Neighbors,

Can you ever speak to your grandchildren without YELLING????! We each live on nearly 2 acres and I realize the lots are narrow so you aren't that far (or far enough) away from us but can't you talk to them? Why do I have to hear everything you say? You make more noise with your mouth than my dogs do when they're barking.

Quiet & Peace-Loving Neighbor,
Sandy

Dear Richard Hatch,

Please shut up and go away. You've already had your 15-minutes of fame several times. You got caught, now finish your sentence and get on with your life. As for your recent yapping in the media that you didn't know you had to pay income taxes on the $1M you won on Survivor because the government didn't tell you. The government doesn't tell me I owe taxes annually either but I know I do and I pay them. What gave you the idea that the prize was tax-free? Just stop it.

An embarrassed Rhode Islander,
Sandy

Dear Sandy,

A friend of mine got her car hit in a parking lot yesterday, too. They did a lot of damage, actually (backed into her). They tried to leave, but a good samaritan took their license number and told them so. Then she waited with them until my friend was contacted. There are some good people in the world to balance out the idiots.

Fingers crossed this getting hit business isn't contagious,
Tammy

Your car was hit?! That stinks! You know my feelings about THAT!

And your new neighbors get more charming all the time!

These were too funny! Well, minus finding out your car got hit and the passenger button isn't working. Bummer! I would have a fit if all I heard was my neighbor screaming all the time. Ugh. Some people. But I did think your message to Richard was quite funny. He's such a clown.

People who aren't capable of owning up to hitting another car are scum!!

Toyota better fix that window pronto...ugh

Your words to Richard.......too funny, and while I admit I just change channels if he is on TV I can't imagine the fool said she didn't know he had to pay taxes.........come on folks. I also don't know why we spend tax $$ imprisoning him for that, make them pay, make them do community service, but do not use tax $$ to incarcerate someone for that crap. sorry, stepping off the podium now...LOL.

I think that for every dent, ding, or scratch that we get from irresponsibly drivers, we should get to punch the offenders in the face.

That would seem fair to me.

Badass Geek said...

That should read "irresponsible".

I think you need to do something fun and relaxing this weekend cause you're having a heck of a week!

Funny!

2 acres and you can still hear them? They'd never make it in Pleasantville. Our houses are less than 15 feet apart so you always have to use your "Pleasantville voice". Otherwise, the entire neighborhood knows little Johnny peed on the floor for the umpteenth time.

I hate when people are so ignorant and inconsiderate as to slam in to someone's car then not own up to it. Sometimes people suck.

Loved your letter to Richard Hatch and agree with every word. These reality contestants need to learn they are NOT special, they are NOT celebrities, and they do NOT deserve special treatment!!! Ugh!

Oh, my Camry passenger side window is making funny noised. I hope it's not a general Toyota thing. Ugh. (Knocking on wood, as I type)

Have a great weekend

Richard Hatch is STILL in the news? Where have I been? Most likely paying my 50% tax rate. gag.

And the neighbors 'talk' that loud?--that is just awful.

I love the letters; good idea. :)

Sorry about your car! That stinks.
Ah, yelling at the kids. Nice.
BTW, to answer your question, yes, Gold Wing as in Honda Gold Wing. My mom and stepdad have aGW Trike and they go on loooooong trips on it. If I'm driving 6000 miles, I'd better be in a car. They're nuts.

Friend of mine had a beautiful Alfa Romeo. Got totalled one day by an idiot in a truck who bashed it when trying to do a 3-point turn in the cul-de-sac where it was parked. Never owned up. Nice.

Yes, it's fine letting it all out. Maybe I'll try it too!
