Meet Pearl, our granddog. Pearl has been staying with us for the last 16 days, 15 hours, 38 minutes.....no wait, that doesn't sound right....we LOVE having Pearl visit. Pearl stays with us when her people travel and Lucy & Rosey stay with Pearl's people when Paul and I travel. I can only assume my two dogs disrupt their house far more than having one always-hungry pug stay with us disrupts our house.
I can tell you for certain that Pearl is missing her people. They are due home soon and I have no doubt she will be doing doggy cartwheels when they come to claim her. I think Pearl is actually growing up. She really fit in quite well this time and everyone got along well.
She didn't get to meet & greet Lucy's little skunk buddy which was a good thing. One dog in the sink being de-skunked was enough, thank-you-very-much. But, I have to say honestly, if it's not edible, Pearl's not that interested. Don't think skunk could taste very good.
So this weekend we'll be saying bye-bye to Pearl. I hope she enjoyed her visit.

That is a VERY cute dog! (Pam's?)
My sister takes our dog when we go away. I always hope she's not much trouble, but I know she is VERY needy (blogged about that very thing today, matter of fact).
She likes the camera, doesn't she?
Pearl looks like she's in charge!
Your right, that pug looks like she doesn't push herself away from the feed bowl very often. My Corgie is the same way.
M, It's true, Pearl hasn't missed many meals. But she's on a pretty strict diet so we're trying to keep her healthy.
Thank goodness she missed the skunk buddy.
And what a funny picture. She looks so serious. And territorial.
Pearl is adorable. Thank you for the pictures.
I think that's what I look like before I have my tea in the morning...only not so cute.
Had to chuckle a bit at Pearl sitting in that chair. Funny. Thanks for visiting the blog yesterday. I LOVE attention! Come back anytime:)
I am sure she has enjoyed her stay tremendously. She looks like she is full of personality!
How cute is she! I fostered a little pug once and though she was the cutest thing, she ate as much as one of my huge boxers! Such tummies on such small babies~ I am sure that although you enjoyed having her, you'll enjoy her being home as well! LOL - I know the feeling all too well!
Hello,
Just found your blog through Crone & Bear it and noticed we have the same name. I too will be doggy sitting my sisters dog soon and like you I also love having him to stay.
Nice to read you blog.
Take care,
Sandy.
Just Breathe.....she really is cute and has a lot of personality especialy when there's food around.
K.....I doubt that! But I did work with a man many years ago named Armando who she resembles quite a bit.
Parenting.....thanks for stopping by. Hope you had a fabulous day yesterday!
Step....Pearl really was an excellent house guest this time. I can't believe her visit went so quickly.
Hey Sandy! Nice name....thanks for coming by.
Hello, Pearl!
I too, eat PB out of the jar with a spoon. Often.
That pic is PRICELESS!!! All she needs are shades and a cool drink, LOL!
That pic is too cute but it is adorable you call Pearl "Grandog". My mom does that too!
We have the same chair - it was like looking at my own deck! I love Pearl.
Quite photogenic, that Pearl! :)
Hey, imagine my surprise when I got on the computer after 16 days internet-free and I see my dog featured on your blog! She looks quite content and happy. You can let her know we'll be by tomorrow to pick her up. I hope she still remembers us.
Very regal canine.
Pearl is adorable! We are poodle sitting for my cousin next week. He came to stay before when we just had Scully. Now with Scully and Mulder, it should be even crazier. He came to meet Mulder the other day and they were completely nuts together.
OMG!!! Pugs (and Puggles!) really got it going on, don't they???? :)
